Its definately not a new trend but Stretching is expoding around sydney right now in enormous proportions....almost because of the emo style alone it has grown to be a musthave for any alternative styler on the street.
To me I can't understand the phenomenon because looking like a buddha statue doesn't appeal to me.Nor does separating my earlobes either in pain or for asthetic reasons.
Infact stretchings are a definate no when it comes to attraction to the oppisite sex.Just the idea of seeing him take out his stretchings back in the bedroom to reveal limp calamari rings that swing with the breeze, it really turns me off!
And its clear that its supposed to be attractive beacuse there are plenty of very attractive guys doing it and girls too.
I wonder if its a competative thing between guys to have the largest stretchings.how is it measured?
If I can read a street sign through the other side of your stretching is enough?
What happens when this 'phase' of alternative fashion is over?
I can't imagine yours ear lobes magically grow back together,maybe you can get them surgically repaired or are you just stuck with pancake flaps forever?
Ear fashion is being stretched to the limit right now....its interesting to see how long it will last and what we will be left with.
