I love fashion but I believe that there is some glitches in it's communication with us, normal folks. Don't want to be too deep or anything, but I will be reveiling my top ten thoughts as to what I do NOT like about some things. Each day, I will reveal a new one. Today, I am reveiling number 10:
10. I hate that some trends don't last long enough!
I bet you agree with me. As soon as I find a trend that I like, you know, the kind of like that makes you want to wear it everyday, no seriously ,not everyday, but a lot? I do know that fashion is ever changing, ever evolving, but God, as soon as we get into the groove of this fashion thang, they go and change it all over again. Do you remember when big, feathered bangs were in? I do and I'm not that old, but I use to wear them. Also, when the trends we like leave the fashion scene, they just go and bring it back in style a couple of years later. And I'm thinking, "wait a minute, I just brought all of that stuff to the thrift store or gave it to the Salvation Army, I should have kept it ALL!" Right, instead of getting rid of all your old, out dated items, just keep, because trust me, their going to be back in style in a couple of years. And if not, still keep them, you can wear them and call it 'VINTAGE'. You know, vintage is code for, 'old but new again'.
Check out this totally 80's look by a young Madonna who actually wore this in the 80's....
Now check this pic of Kate Moss, some girl and Paris Hilton, now don't they look like they were at the same party as 80's Madonna?
But their in this century!! Prove's my point, EXACTLY!! What's the point of getting rid of anything except for to help maybe those in need not because you can't maybe use them again. Mostly, not everything, she wears hits the fashion currency mark exactly. (I would be lieing if I stating that I liked or have loved everything that she's wore
) Nevertheless, we can't always get it right all of the time. Michelle Obama has truely inspired me personally as the rest of the world with her class and swagger.
