Who said being President isn't FASHIONABLE?

Congratulation!! to President Barak Obama and Michelle Obama for such a great campaign. Did you vote? I hope, being that your one vote can and could have made such a great difference. But back to Fashion. I love fashion and I love our country, the two goes extremely well together. We've had many presidents and first ladies over the years. Many has been fashion icon's for young women across the country. Remember Jackie Kennedy, timeless I must say. Michelle Obama is headed towards the same iconic nature as first ladies past. She has a real fluid style as to where, in every pic, her style is different but still epic.


Not to mention that hair! Kudos to her stylist. If looks could dictate winners of presidential campaigns, no wonder President Barak Obama won!! Take for instance, this lovely sheath dress....



Purpleish in color, with patent-leather belt, this dress is presidential in every way. Now I, as a woman and fashionista, love's woman who make such a dramatic fashion statement, so why wouldn't I and all of the other millions of women world-wide, not appreciate Michelle Obama. Aside from her keen since of fashion, her self-confidence and esteem is icing on the cake. Have you ever heard, "it's not the clothes that make a person." I believe this. It takes more that fashion to make a woman and a first lady, but pride, self-esteem, confidence, SWAGGER! I look forward to what the next 4 and hopefully 8, years will bring to America. The change that President Barak Obama and Michelle could bring to our country is so much needed and who else to bring this change but a cool President Barak Obama and his fashionista wife, Michelle Obama.

Fabulosity isn't expensive according to Kimora

Kimora Lee Simmons, businesswoman, mother, fashion icon, mogul and personally one person on my 'must meet' list, has unleashed a new juniors line. She's already soaring to business plateaus with her Baby Phat and KLS lines, but she came down a little to help the younger woman and little girls have a little piece of fabulosity.

That's right Kimora, why shouldn't everyone experience a piece of the fabulosity pie. I love being fabulous and portraying fabulosity. Kimora stated that fabulosity is a younger, less expensive version of her Baby Phat collection. We all know that Baby Phat is one the most popular, street fashion lines. The Baby Phat line is definitely at the top my my top 5 hip/hop/urban fashion lines. Right up there with Ecko Red, Enyce, Akademiks, House of Dereon and more. From Kimora's handbags, jeans, perfume, jewelry, shoes and now junior line, the skies the limit in Kimora Ville. Wouldn't you like to live there? Nothing but luxurious fashion everywhere. Fabulosity is sure to have the coolest items for juniors and young ladies, but at an affordable price. Have you noticed how reasonable Baby Phat items are? You can buy a fab handbag for anywhere from $30.00 to up in the hundreds.

Balenciaga: The Spanish Conquistador of Fashion Baby!

This picture of a design at the forefront of Balenciaga's Fall 08 Runway ready-to-wear show, speaks a thousand words. Seem's I don't need to say much here, but I LOVE...
Even his couture line is something to be amazed by(a lot of couture designs do not impress me people). This dress is so hot guys, if you touch her, you will burn your finger. The split's highness, use to be forbidden, no more honey.

Balenciaga, a fav designer, implements and transcends top fashion with merging a touch of his spanish heritage with modern fashion and design. His Fall 08 show, displayed in Paris, included, a remake of 'the little black dress', peplums, armband, fifties style, sack dresses, couture, samurai jackets, urban attire, skinny pants, velvet and taffeta tops, WOW!

This Fall's 08 Balenciaga's ready-to-wear collection, has such variety that you'll will leave with definately more than on piece. Every model look beautylicious, from make-up, to attire, and oh, the accessories. The accessories promoted a bold spanish and or cultural flavor. Models wore different jewels, designs ranging from bold, shiny, traditional jewelry, to textured pieces and the perfect mixing of the two. Including, pearls, gems, crystal type pieces and others.

These accessories that were worn by Balenciaga's models extraordinarily enhanced each piece in Balenciaga's line. From the couture,straight, skinny pants to the remarkable redo of a black dress was down right phenomenal! Balenciaga is strictly a great and fabulous designer, from his Women's/Men's line, to his shoes and handbags. Now wonder, all the top celebrities shamelessly flaunts his pieces. This designer make's Fall 08 really something to look forward too!

Alexander McQueen is no stranger to designs that some would call, different, some might even call different an understatement. Nevertheless, Alexander McQueen is still one of the best designers to hit the design scene. I try to keep up to date with current and past designers, their shows and upcoming collections and fashion trends. His couture lines has graced many star's and celebs, especially during their red carpet appearance. His famous petty-coat skirts, high, roughled collars, renaissance look, is growing and fast. Peep his foreseen Fall 08 Collection, previewing the best of Alex McQueen for this upcoming fall season

Pss, Want to know a secret to the Best of Summer Lingerie? (LINK)

You do, well let me tell you. There’s not much difference between Summer and Winter Lingerie. I would imagine that one major difference is the available fabrics, summer fabrics are light in weight and winter fabrics is heavy in weight. Nevertheless, all lingerie is excellent as long as it is sexy. Now, some lingerie is meant to be called plain, old ‘Sleepwear.’ In my book, for a piece to labeled as ‘lingerie’, it has to meet the qualifications of sexy. Cute, cozy sleepwear is just that, and I have no problem with that. I have some within my closet and it’s what I mostly wore during my co-ed college years. Now that I’m all grown up and married, of course, I would lean more towards the sexier lingerie, especially when it’s time for (you know what)

One of my favorite designers of lingerie and others probably would agree, is non other than Victoria Secret. One of the reasons that she has been around so long and has risen to the plateau of the lingerie world is her quality, design, color, fabrics and of course the Pss…. Factor. I bet you’re wondering what I’m talking about. The Pss… Factor is nothing but plain old ‘imagination’. Most of Victoria Secrets designs are sexy, but not slutty. They leave something to your significant others imagination and I’ve heard that is much more sexier than it’s counterpart. While some women and men are more attracted to a more ‘sluttier’ look (excuse my french), Victoria Secret has kept his core essence of providing luxurious and sexy lingerie to the masses, that also includes the Pss….Factor

Everyone knows David Beckham. Wait a minute, everyone also knows his beautiful wife, Victoria Beckham. Victoria Beckham aka ‘Posh Spice’ of the use to be British group, the Spice Girls, totally ‘rocks’. She is a style and celebrity icon, not only in her native country Brittan, but also here the America’s. Victoria Beckham has always had a distinct style of her own. It started with her unique sense of fashion as ‘Posh Spice.’ Though in my opinion, her vocals were not much to sing about, her style has always been preceding fashion edginess I love her ‘has been’ and current style. That’s probably why she’s opted to bring her unique fashion sense to front and center. With her new line, DVB Clothing, Victoria Beckham is bringing that genuine British fashion sense to America. DVB Clothing is already a hit and the crave in England and it’s finally branching throughout the rest of the world, making it a hit worldwide.

The Gap, Inc., known for it's wide variety of preppy-hip-chic style clothe's, is not deviatiing far from their fashion script. Yesterday, July 10, The Gap, Inc., disclosed it's upcoming Holiday 08- Winter/Christmas clothing. Now, Banana Republic and Old Navy are also part of the Gap's major family. Even though, each store's style differ, they're still fabulous and they've unleashed a glimpse of what we have to look for from all three this Holiday season. See this from Banana Republic....

We're cruising now baby, with GUCCI!

Oh Yes, we're definately about to set sail baby!! Where you ask, anywhere, I don't even care where, as long as it is somewhere tropical on some island with lots of sun, sand, water and fun. What could be funner when setting sail, than setting sail on a luxury cruise line, guest to one of the anticipated resort line fashion shows, by your's truely, Gucci, extraordinare!!.

I love Gucci, the handbags, the sunglasses, the clothes, the shoes. Who doesn't. It's Italian design, style and fashion at it's best honey and they've recently displayed their Resort Cruise line 09 this past week.

Christian Audigier, need I say more? If you don't know who he is by now, may I ask, "what planet have you been on honey?" He's only a premier designer to the stars, famous, celeb's and wealthy. With his couture, hi-end fashion line, he has tailored numerous highly publicized runway shows, via Las Vegas, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Paris and more. He has dressed some of the none stars in the world from Snoop Dogg to Brittney Spears, from Samuel L. Jackson to Nicole Richie.

Have I found my one true pair of Jeans? (LINK)

I am a young, bootylicious diva, who love's fashion, but in previous years, I've had the hardest time finding jeans that fit my perky look. Jeans were previously made for those of you out there, who are, you know, not bootylicious. I would consistently run across the problem of my jeans possibly fitting in the hips and legs, but gaping tremendously in the waist. I would often have to double loop my belt buckle to make it fit and look ok. But my friends, thank God for fashion geniouses and trailblazers. Many designers are creating fashion, specifically jeans, just for people like me. I guess it did help a little that Beyonce Knowles and her bootylicious video helped put us bootylicious women on the map. Mind you, Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mom and owner of clothing line, House of Dereon, claims that their signature jean is the best pair of jeans for us bootylicious chick and that they've designed it for us specifically in mind, even the gapped waist con.

I really don't know, because everyone has different body builds, shapes and figures. I've bought a pair of their jeans and I do truely believe that they def get an 'E' for effort. Ms. Tina Knowles did a great job with fixing our little jean problemo. Beyonce often wears these jeans from House of Dereon, face it, she is co-owner with her mom and spokesperson. Great choice I might add! Everyone love's Beyonce, her music, her style, her fashion and her personality. She's a bootylicious girl like myself and I thought, hay, they look pretty great on her, let me try a pair. They're also pretty reasonable,considering they are top notch fashion, including couture. They typically go for less than $300.00 but I might add it's not hard to find a pair under a $100.00, for all of you budgeteer's like myself out there

Where to find a GREAT BRA! Befitting to YOU (LINK)

Now ladie's, I know that the title sound's a little cliche, but trust me, you won't be disappointed. Since high school, I've had the hardest time's finding a bra that fit's, fit's well and that is comfortable, so I know that other young women out there have encountered the same problem. When I would purchase a bra, I would run across:
1) too tight
2) too baggy/loose

Singer Ciara, we all know her, "Tha Goodie's Girl" (lol). Well, it seem's, she's stepping out into mainstream stardom even more so nowadays. It's reported that she's signed a modeling contract with agency Wilhelmina, a prominant-upscale agency. She's also looking into launching her own clothing line via Steve and Barry's. Steve and Barry's is great store, with trendy items at great low prices. Great look Ciara! Steve and Barry's also carrie's Sarah Jessica Parker's line "Bitten" and Stephen Marbury's line "Marberry".
