Spring Break, Vancouver Hotel and Vogue Chic
January 25th 2012 12:28
With Spring Break approaching, millions of international students are impatiently awaiting their first opportunity to "kick it!" Oh but what to do amongst so many?
During my school years, I opted to travel to nearby family members and even to Cancun. Now, more and more students are choosing to visit more culturally diverse and rich locations, such as Vancouver, India and the Grand Canyon. If visiting Vancouver, students find that a good Vancouver Hotel is hard to come by. In downtown Vancouver, there are many luxurious hotels but few hold up to the standards of Loden Hotel. Being that most students are on "shoe string budgets", their affordability could be a definite plus.
Every fashionista must look their best on Spring Break right? With recent fashion milestones, Vogue and similar trendsetting magazines, has propelled a new term coined "Vogue Chic". "Vogue Chic" is simply "chic-afying" "Vogue" culture. I am not a proponent of super skinny, bone like models and that aspect of the fashion world. But I am a definite proponent of its trends, sillouettes and additional fashion symbols. From layered linen to dark shadows, Vogue magazine has used fashion as a pivotal culture impacting tool for decades and I believe that they will continue to do so.
Students may find that they can find some of these fashion trends for very cheap prices as well. I like shopping on Ebay, Amazon and Craigslist to find cheap, bargain deals, including Vintage apparel.
